Website Design
I led the design and direction for a website redesign for Aurora Colorado's largest independent craft brewery, Dry Dock.
Dry Dock Brewing is one of the more famous and award-winning breweries in Colorado. As their business grew, and a new tasting room was added to their already popular South Dock location, the company knew that they needed to update their online presence.
I designed a custom site that paid homage to the craftsmanship of old world boat builders and brewers alike, that embraced Dry Dock's unique brand. The theme of the site, based on old-world map drawings and scientific illustrations was a huge undertaking and required a lot of hand-done finishes. I created vintage-style illustrations for all of their 50+ speciality beers, to showcase a old-world feeling that displayed Dry Dock's dedication to the art of brewing. With unique animations and subtle discoverable pieces hidden in each page, this interactive site truly brought the Dry Dock experience to life online.
Project Goals
Unlike many brand, Dry Dock had very little in terms of a brand before the website redesign. Other than the logo, our team had to create a visual language which stemed from the website to bring continuity and harmony to their brand and packaging. I created an iconography set and a web style guide to aid in this brand overhaul.

With over 50 speciality beers that Dry Dock creates, including cans, bottles and bombers, I created a vintage-style illustrations for the showcase of their beer product line. This was a painstaking process that involved much research, cataloging of vintage prints and many hours drawing and collaging each composition together. After the 50 beer compositions were created, I helped our design team create a catalog of images and a style guide to hand over to Dry Dock's designers to create similar artworks when new beers are created.
